They complement each other but work independently. Club Management handles competitor registrations, IJF weight categories, and dan/kyu eligibility checks before the event. The Scoreboard app handles live shiai scoring on the day. Many dojos use both — but you can start with either one.

Does the Scoreboard app follow current IJF rules?

Yes. The Scoreboard is built around IJF Olympic judo rules — Ippon, Waza-ari, Shido penalties, and Golden Score. When regular time ends level, it automatically transitions to Golden Score with a clear visual indicator.

Can I run multiple mats at the same time?

Yes. Install the Scoreboard app on a separate device for each mat. Each instance runs independently with no network connection required, so multiple shiai can be scored simultaneously across the competition area.

Can I host a tournament for judoka from other clubs?

Yes. You can add guest competitors manually in Club Management for tournament day, or invite them to register through your public registration link. Guest entries are straightforward to manage alongside your own dojo members.

Does it support junior weight categories and mon grades?

Yes. IpponBoard tracks mon grades for junior judoka alongside standard kyu and dan grades. You can set grade-based entry requirements per division, making it easy to run separate junior and senior categories at the same event.
